It started with a sting—a thin needle sinking deep into my hip, my breath catching as pain turned to clarity. Lying still on the acupuncture table, I felt something inside me shift. The ache wasn’t just physical; it was something long buried, something waiting to be seen.
There comes a moment in every woman’s life when she realizes her strength isn’t gone—it’s just buried. Hidden beneath exhaustion. Beneath the weight—emotional, physical, invisible—of everything she’s carried for too long. Beneath the habit of numbing, pushing through, and forgetting to feel.
For me, that awakening began during my recovery from a health crisis. Three years later, I’m still learning what it means to reconnect to my body—not just as a collection of muscles and joints, but as an energy system.
“My belief is that strength is what you uncover when you clear the static between your body and your soul.”
Discovering the Connection
That day on the table, I breathed through the pain and whispered to my body, “Let go.” It felt as though something deep within me had to crack open to reach the unreachable place. Sometimes it took weeks—of movement, treatments, breathwork, and training—before that deep layer finally surrendered. And when it did, it wasn’t just physical. A memory, an emotion, even a scent would surface. My body was speaking, and for the first time, I was listening.
What surprised me most was what came after. Once the release happened, my movement changed. My body aligned differently. Strength flowed instead of being forced. I could lift heavier, move faster, recover better. I was no longer trapped.
True strength begins with unlocking what’s stuck. It’s not mystical—it’s physiological. When the nervous system is locked in stress or self-protection, your muscles can automatically tense. The electricity flowing through your body’s cells directs everything: muscle recruitment, mobility, and even recovery. When your current flows freely, strength follows.
Now, my body speaks in whispers instead of shouts. When I feel a small tug in my shoulder, or a tightening in my hip, I pause. I breathe. I acknowledge. Then I move on. No analysis. No judgment. Just a quiet agreement between body and mind:
Feel.
Acknowledge.
Breathe.
Release.
Energy Reset
How to Strengthen Your Current
Try this simple sequence to reconnect before your next workout—or whenever you feel off-balance. The goal: de-kink your energy “cord,” strengthen your current, and elevate into your own authentic, exquisite self.
Feel
Close your eyes. Notice where your body feels tense, heavy, or blocked.
Acknowledge
Say silently, “I feel you.” Sometimes the body just needs recognition.
Breathe
Inhale deeply through your nose, and exhale slowly through your mouth. Imagine light moving into the “stuck” area.
Release
Soften your jaw, your belly, your grip. Let your body exhale the tension.
Leaning into Your Feelings
When I learned to breathe into tightness instead of resisting it, everything shifted. Movements that once felt forced began to flow. My core activated more deeply. My balance stabilized. The feeling of being “off”—emotionally and physically—began to fade. I wasn’t training against myself anymore; I was training with myself. It felt like every circuit was firing, every cell finally awake.
Your inner current is your life force—your “you” frequency. It’s the rhythm of your breath and the pulse of your emotions, plus the current that moves through fascia, muscles, and mind. When you disconnect from it, you can push harder and still feel weak, uninspired, or off-balance. But when you tune in, you feel that electric hum of alignment. The pursuit of strength stops being an effort—it becomes flow. Movement becomes powerful, effortless, and even graceful.
So, how do you begin?
You listen. You breathe. You ask your body, “Where am I holding pain? What do you need me to feel? What can I let go of?”
And then, you soften. You let the energy move. My belief is that strength is what you uncover when you clear the static between your body and your soul.

“When I learned to breathe into tightness instead of resisting it, everything shifted.”
The Year of You
Welcome to 2026. This is the year to feel your frequency! It’s the year to remove blocked or stuck energy, and the year to elevate your frequency and reconnect to your exquisite self. It’s the year to find your flow.
I know that what once felt unreachable is now awake. The body I once fought has become my ally. It is a reminder that strength doesn’t always roar. Sometimes, it hums.
The Frequency Spectrum of Strength
The following chart details what every state of your energy flow can manifest itself as, emotionally and physically. I use these energy states to gauge what I’m feeling, and how to train my body based on the phase it’s in.
