Professionally, Dr. Maren is dedicated to helping women through important transitions like perimenopause and menopause by combining medical training with a holistic understanding of how fitness, hormones, thyroid function, stress, nervous system, and gut health interconnect. Personally, she knows firsthand what an impact all of these factors—especially fitness—can have on one’s health. “In my early 40s, I was experiencing disrupted sleep, cycle changes, and digestive issues—on top of being a working mom to three kids. I took a comprehensive look at what my body needed and adjusted my routine accordingly,” shares Dr. Maren. “Today, I’m feeling more fit than ever. Spending time in the gym really is enjoyable and a source of confidence for me. When I lift weights, it’s an act of self-respect and prioritizing my own needs. This personal practice has become a powerful tool in helping other women discover their own strength,” she says.
When I lift weights, it’s an act of self-respect and prioritizing my own needs.
Sharing this insight, along with her expertise, is Dr. Maren’s life mission. “I see women every day who struggle with fatigue, weight gain, and low energy. These problems have solutions! I help my patients achieve their health and wellness goals, and I’ve found that applying the right fitness routine is a big piece of solving the puzzle,” says Dr. Maren. “My three-pillar approach combines addressing the root cause of health conditions, precision hormone optimization, and five foundational health habits: protein-centric nutrition, strategic strength training, low-tox living, mindset/stress management, and quality sleep to empower women to have true agency over their health journey. I believe that every woman deserves to understand her body’s unique needs and is worthy of vibrant health at every age.”
