Just one serving of this smoothie contains more than 75 percent of your daily value of vitamins A and C, both of which support your defense system in the battle against colds and viruses. It’s also jam-packed with vitamins B6, D and K, as well as folate, copper, iron, magnesium, potassium, selenium and zinc.

Tropical Green Smoothie

Makes 2 servings

2 cups low-fat milk
1 Tbsp golden flax seed
2 Tbsp unsalted Brazil nuts
1 banana
2 cups spinach
¾ cup frozen pineapple chunks
¾ cup frozen mango chunks

1. Add first 3 ingredients and blend on medium-high for 50 seconds.
2. Add remaining ingredients and blend until smooth.
